Incentive Plan 2008-09

Total Grant Award for 2008: $40.000

Grant funds must be spent at the High School Campus: At least 75% must be spent on "Pan T" -Teacher Incentives -$30,000 25% may be spent on "Part II" -Additional Incentives -$10,000

The Centerville High School Campus must receive a rating of 'Academically Acceptab e' from the Texas Education Agency for the 2008-09 school year before stipends will be awarded.

There will be a cap on stipends of $3,000 per teacher.

Part I -Teacher Incentives -$30,000

A. Eligible personnel: Individual, Special Programs, and Special Education teachers of students in grades 7 -11. Teachers must meet the following criteria to obtain the listed stipend(s):

Stipend available -$500 per grade level that meets a minimum 75% pass rate on one or more sections of the TAKS tests up to a maximum stipend of$1,500.

  1. Must participate in one team teaching activity per semester

  2. Must conduct at least one classroom obs rvation per semester of another teacher in a related or similar field

  3. Must attend 75% of professional development sessions offered at Centerville ISD

  4. Must attend at least two additional professional development sessions related to subject area

Value Added Incentives

Eligible personnel: Teachers in grades 7 -11 who teach one or more classes in TAKS

teste content areas:

I - Additional $250 per class that meets a 75% pass rate on the TAKS area tested

II - Additional $250 per class that meets a 90% pass rate on the TAKS area tested

Eligible personnel: Special Education teache on the high school campus:

1-Additional $250 for a 50% pass rate for all identified special education students over all TAK.S accommodated tests taken II -Additional $250 for a 75% pass rate for all identified special education students over all TAKS accommodated tests taken.

B. Any Part I funds remaining fier all Part I-A stipends have been paid ill be di ided equally among teachers who qualified for stipends in part A.

Part n -Additional Incentives -$10,000

A. Eligible personnel: Other certified professionals who work on the High School campus. Professionals must meet the following criteria to obtain the listed stipend(s):

Stipend available -$500 per grade level served that meets a 75% pass rate on one or more sections of the TAKS tests up to a maximum stipend of $1,500

t. Must attend 75% of professional development sessions offered at Centerville ISD

  1. Must attend at least two other professional development sessions related to subject area

  2. Most recent annual evaluation/appraisal must be satisfactory, proficient or above

B. Eligible personnel: Paraprofessional staff that work in the classrooms of TAKS tested student at the High School campus. Paraprofessionals must meet the following criteria to obtain the listed stipend(s):

Stipend available -$500 per grade level served in the classroom that meets a 75% pass rate on one or more sections of the TAKS tests or a student pass rate of 75% on all TAKS Accommodated tests taken up to a maximum stipend of $1 ,000

  1. Must attend 75% of professional development sessions offered at Centerville ISD

  2. Must attend at least two other professional development sessions related to subject area

  3. Most recent annual evaluation/appraisal must be satisfactory, proficient or above

C. Eligible personnel: All other paraprofessionals, full-time, and part-time employe s who serve the High School campus. Employees must meet the following criteria to obtain the listed stipend(s):

Stipend ~Yail2ble -$500 for paraprofessionals and full-time employees; $250 for parttime employees and bus drivers if campus is rated'Academically Acceptable' by TEA

  1. Must attend at least one professional development session related to subject/work area

  2. Most recent annual evaluation/appraisal must be satisfactory, proficient or above

Should any Part n funds remain after all Part II A-C s 'pends are paid --Up to 5% will be used to pay for the administrative costs of this grant, the remainder will be spent for curriculum related training for personnel that is designe to improve student achievement.
